Ability to Upload multiple products/SKUs in one fell swoop

Any time we launch a new product we have to create at minimum 20 new SKUs due to variations. Having to create new product SKUs in CMS one by one is an incredibly slow process and waste of resources. It would be nice if there was a way to upload a tab delimited file to create new product SKUs in one motion. On that same note, I'd like to be able to make changes to multiple SKUs in one upload as well. These options are available in CV3 and I'd love to see something similar in CMS.

    CMS does have the ability to import product data using CSV Templates. That said, it cannot at this time import Kit Products. Managing the templates is non-trivial, so it's not a route that everyone is going to want to take (product data can get complicated). If anyone is interested in this utility, and you are running v10, send a request to support@newhavensoftware.com and I'll see what I can dig up. Fwiw, I am going to run some tests soon to see if non-kit products can be imported and then converted into kits in a reasonable manner (I talked to the original poster of this comment, who really needs kits, but thinks a conversion route might help them to some extent).
